The mindset of these people astounds me.
Myself, I will never surrender my own personal property, nor would I ever allow myself to be put in a position that would allow anyone the opportunity to confiscate my iron.
A few years ago, my teammate hooked up with a girl he met two weeks prior online. He paid for her to come here from Missouri and at first, I thought she was pretty cool. i mean, she can make milk gravy just like my gramma ( God rest your soul, ma'am.) so that endeared me to her right away.

I never, ever keep everything in one place. I tend to keep my firepower spread out amongst the team in case I'm away and something bad happens.
The point is, I'm never very far from a rifle.
One night I got a call from my spotter telling me my guy's new girl flipped out, and that the cops were enroute to break up the fracas.

They arrived and this woman preceded to tell them about " all those illegal machine guns and automatic weapons " he had stashed in the team's vault.
Well, we don't have any automatics in the first place, but you know, them cops couldn't get into that vault fast enough.
Surprise, surprise, my guy was smart enough to have another team member come by unbeknownst to that bitch and take all of our tools with him.

The cops wanted to take everything my dude had but couldn't, as he had all the legal paperwork, receipts, ect.

Afterwards, I admonished him to quit looking for love on the internet.

VA SCI staff and nurses are great. Healing fast and feel great. Good to be home.

Strangest thing happened when I got home. Before I left ten days ago my baby kitty cats were 1month 1 week old. When they were three weeks old I began holding two of them every day. The other two I held just once and awhile.

They were equally matched boy and girl and all four were different colors.

In the last ten days, our dogs were out side knowing those cats were in the house.

Other then my friend stopping by every day these animals have been alone.

Two of our dogs are around 120 to 140 lbs and the other one, is a 25 lb faster then rabbit running ladder climbing cat chasing critter that just won't leave cats alone.

Up until I left, the cats had lived atop a large 6 by 10 desk with a little house and cat liter box, so for the last ten days they were living on the floor.

When we got home the dogs were excited and we couldn't keep them out of the house while we were un loading the van I kept at my friends house with my stuff of value to me while I was at the VA.

Anyway the momma cat and the two cats I only held once and awhile were hiding behind a file cabinet while the other two amidst three dogs trying to catch them felt the need to come to me setting in my wheelchair while I was outside the front door. One month 17 days old and they remembered me.

If my friend hadn't picked them up, gringo, cat chaser, the aggressive dog would have killed them.

Now I may be wrong, but I think that’s love, anyway there both curled up on my lap right now and haven’t tried to leave, now sleeping, something I'm going to do soon.

The VA SCI I went to computers were donated by the PVA.

I met a WW II, Korea and Vietnam Battleship Gunny who was 86 and proud to be an American. Other veterans were from Captain to Commander to Chief Petty Officer, a SEAL and a few army and marines I think made a full house.

Our veterans are some of the finest Americans living today and those service members and veterans who have perished are waiting for me in heaven.

Thanks to our Lord Jesus Christ and GOD the Father, our reunion will be postponed another year or two and if blessings are long lasting I reckon I'll be around awhile longer.

I have a renewed spirit and by years end I will have made a difference when I vote for Mit Romney.

Afghanistan Battles yield two Navy Crosses

Two California-based Marines are scheduled to receive Navy Cross awards on Friday for their actions during separate battles in Afghanistan’s Helmand province.

The recipients are Sgt. Cliff Wooldridge of Twentynine Palms and Sgt. Christopher Farias of Camp Pendleton. The Navy Cross is the nation’s second-highest award for combat valor, below only the Medal of Honor.

Wooldridge, a member of 3rd Battalion, 7th Marines, is credited with fending off a Taliban ambush in close-quarters battle on June 18, 2010, in Musa Qala.

During the engagement, Wooldridge snatched a machine gun from the hands of an enemy fighter and, following a tense struggle on the ground, killed his opponent by striking him in the head with the weapon’s butt stock. The remaining Taliban then retreated, ending a potentially deadly ambush against Wooldridge’s platoon, according to an account of the battle provided to Marine Corps Times in late 2010.

Wooldridge is scheduled to receive his award from Navy Secretary Ray Mabus.

Farias, a member of 1st Battalion, 11th Marines, is credited with repelling a Taliban ambush Oct. 5, 2010, that threatened to overrun his unit’s patrol base in Helmand’s Kajaki district.

During the battle, Farias and several other Marines were severely wounded by explosive rounds fired from a recoilless rifle. Nevertheless, Farias pulled himself up, directed triage efforts and then called for suppressive machine gun fire, according to a news release from the 1st Marine Division, his unit’s parent command. His actions as an assistant squad leader allowed for the safe evacuation of his wounded comrades.

Farias is scheduled to be recognized by Navy Undersecretary Robert Work.

It was May 10, 1970, in Se San, Cambodia. Spc. Leslie H. Sabo Jr. and his platoon were ambushed by a large enemy force. The 22-year-old rifleman from Ellwood City, Pa., charged the enemy position, killing several soldiers, and then attacked an enemy flanking force, drawing fire away from his comrades.

As the enemy retreated, a grenade landed near Sabo and a wounded American soldier. Sabo picked it up and threw it, while shielding his comrade with his own body. The grenade blast badly injured Sabo, but he continued to charge the bunker.

Crawling toward the enemy stronghold, Sabo was shot multiple times by automatic weapons fire. When he managed to reach the opening of the bunker, he tossed in a grenade, silencing all enemy fire. That same grenade also ended Sabo's life.

Lawsuit says police engaging in 'deliberate theft and they know it'

A pair of California cities and the state’s Department of Justice are facing a federal lawsuit today because, plaintiffs claim, the police confiscated firearms during investigations but now refuse to return them – even after the subjects of the inquiries were cleared of any wrongdoing.

The Second Amendment Foundation, which has joined gun owners Douglas Churchill and Peter Lau in the lawsuit, say the cities are engaging in “deliberate theft of personal property.”

The Department of Defense announced May 14, 2012 the death of a Marine who was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.

Sgt. Wade D. Wilson, 22, of Normangee, Texas, died May 11 while conducting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan. He was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, Calif.
